As part of a week-long projection, La Maison d’Art is pleased to co-present and sponsor the 1st US Screening of The Award-Wining Senegalese movie “TEY” (Today) on Monday. Sept. 7th 6:00PM at MIST Harlem, including a Q&A with Alain Gomis, Filmmaker and his actors, followed by a reception at La Maison d'Art Gallery.

In a place where death sometimes warns in advance that it’s coming, Tey recounts the hypnotic journey of Senegalese man Satché’s transcendent last day alive, brilliantly played by acclaimed poet, writer, musician and performance artist Saul Williams.
 
Since premiering in Berlin last year, Tey has traveled in over 50 festivals around the world and has won over 2 dozen prizes including Gold Stallion for Best Film and Best Actor at FESPACO 2013, The Emerging Masters Award at Seattle International and the Primo Del Citta in Venice.
